Sivan has Leukemia (6 years old) To the list of funds

Six-year old Sivan was diagnosed with leukemia. She is waiting for a bone-marrow transplant, and in the meantime must receive Rydapt, an expensive medicine not included in her health plan. 

The monthly cost of the medicine is estimated at 75,000 NIS a month. 

Sivan's family, similar to many more, are in the impossible situation of having to fund hugely expensive medicine for their children. 

Haverim Le'Refuah, the largest organization in Israel for providing free medicines, does all that is in its power to supply these desperate families with medicine. Haverim apply to pharmaceutical companies for compassion donations of medicine, reach out to famillies who no longer need their medicine, and provides financial assistance. In addition, the organization offers a legal aid department, where a team of volunteer lawyers and a judge helps out with the bureacratic issues with the HMOs and social security.
