Winter Camp 2010
On Tuesday morning just as all the rain, wind, and snowstorms abated in the Mt. Hermon region, we set out for winter camp in the North! A bus full of children, sweets, and wheelchairs began its climb up north. At the Golani interchange, 15 Chevrolet jeeps waited for us and took us for a wild tour through the streams of the north. We traversed brooks of muddy water, we saw beautiful vistas, and we jumped like deer amongst the rocks.

At the end of our 4-hour journey, we stopped for a deluxe lunch at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Teveria. Satisfied (stuffed) and happy we went down to the boardwalk to look out on the shores of the beautiful Kinneret.
We arrived at the Lavi Hotel exhausted and worn out; but very, very happy and after we got organized in our rooms, we ate a delicious, warm meal. After we finished we didn't get a minute to rest. We immediately started in with all kinds of "cool" activities with all kinds of "cool" missions from a production company that was brought along especially for the trip.
After a luxurious, good, nights sleep and a no less luxurious breakfast……
We wrapped ourselves up in layers upon layers of clothes: undershirts, shirts, pants, socks, hats, and coats; and packed ourselves onto the bus that slowly climbed its way up Mt. Hermon.

Immediately as we got there, we ran into sparkling white hills of snow in all directions. It was cold but the beautiful sun shone above us and warmed us up. We divided up into two groups. One went up the mountain in the cable cars and the other went up with the snowmobiles of the soldiers that serve on the Hermon.

We all arrived at the soldiers camp and then there broke out a huge snowball fight between the entire group. We were sliding on sleighs and everyone got a ride with a soldier on his snowmobile.
And then suddenly, without our noticing, the day disappeared. The sun began to sink in the sky, and we hurried back to the bus to begin our return home to abba and imma who were eagerly waiting to hear all about our great adventure – The Winter Camp of 2010.
It was Fantastic!
