Fund under the name Friends for Medication Recycling

Medication Recycling:
The "medication recycling" project that through it private people donate extra medications that they have, to patients who need them is one of the most important programs of "Friends for Health".

In 2009 Haverim donated meds to over 3,593 people at a value of $3,408,080 From January through December 2009 over 802 cancer patients were helped by medications at a value of $2,710.526. Over 2,791 chronic meds were given out to chronically ill patients at a value of $697.750.

The cost of this whole project to us is about $132,000 per year. This includes packages that we fund from the post office, the delivery boys, the cost of 2 cars that we use for package delivery and 2 pharmacists on the premises.

In order to take part in the cost of the delivery of the packages alone we have opened an account in the postal bank under the name "Friends for Health". The cost of the average package is 20 NIS and the organization sends 1000 packages every month.

Much appreciation to those who helped start up the project and fund the packages.
