Contribution of a life-saving portable CT.
Dan Snir, of blessed memory, a soldier in the Nachal unit in the army was critically wounded two month ago during a paramilitary activity and he died of his wounds a week later. His parents, Gerrado and Mirta Snir stayed with him at the hospital, Hadassah En Kerem while he fought for his life.
Because of the very difficult location of the wound it was impossible to move him from his bed for tests without causing him to die. They realized that in the hospital there is no CT machine to evaluate the situation of their son's brain as he could not be moved.
Dan died and the Snir family decided right after the shiva to take it upon themselves to find a way to obtain such a mobile CT in order to save the lives of others in Israel. The machine comes to the bed of the patient and scans the brain at the time of surgery or in situations of great systemic injury, when it is not possible to move the patient from the intensive care ward (especially children).
This portable CT can be bought in the United States. The family will purchase the machine with your donations in memory of Dan Snir, of blessed memory, and to save people's lives.
